I recently dug up an old Node CLI tool I made (which I apparently also added to the projects page). It was basically a stripped-down version of the favicon composer in this site’s theme engine. It even came with an extra feature that arranges multiple designs into a single SVG grid. I pulled together (nearly) every theme I’ve designed for the site and had them arranged in the grid. Comparing them to the site’s original themes lineup was quite a sight. I don’t think there’s a more direct way to see just how much this site has evolved.
I’ve written before about keeping up with design systems and broader trends, but it was reassuring to see something more unique to this site. Something that’s developed and aged along and that has come through so clearly.
